Critically Important Election Coming!

The Palo Alto Park Mutual Water Company is proposing to add Impact Fees to the Bylaws this year. These are $2500 to $10,000 fees the company charges when you make a change to your property. The Company has charged this in the past for minor changes to a house that had nothing to do with water. Members have had to go to court against the Company to protect themselves. Don’t let them do this!

Also, Niambi Lincoln is up for re-election. She has big conflicts of interest. She is the paid General Manager, and the Treasurer, and has hired her husband, brothers and son. This year we can make the board truly independent of the staff and keep them accountable!

Proxies

Since the water company is a business, board elections are generally done by proxy. A proxy is a form that lets you assign your vote to another person who will vote for you. Unless you plan on personally being at the annual meeting, this is the only way to vote.

To vote with our proxy, click the button below to download our proxy. You will then need to sign it and return it to us. Unfortunately, electronic signatures, while technically legal, are likely to be rejected by the company. So, we ask you to do one of the following:

Annie Jenkins

Annie Jenkins

I am Annie Jenkins. If I don’t know you yet, I look forward to meeting you. I went to Ravenswood high school until it closed in 1976. I was able to buy my home in the Palo Alto Park neighborhood in East Palo Alto in 1989. My daughter was born and raised here. I worked for myself handling all aspects of two different businesses for 45+ years (and still do) and started and ran a non-profit for several years. My daughter and I love our neighborhood and our neighbors. We plan to stay here forever. My interest on being on the PAPMWC Board is to try to improve the quality of the water. It is very expensive to have this well water in our homes – on appliances, fixtures and plumbing. Not to mention the possible long term health concerns with drinking it, so home filtration or water delivery is needed, but not always affordable on top of our water rates. I believe we can do better than what we have now.
