Since the water company is a business, board elections are generally done by proxy. A proxy is a form that lets you assign your vote to another person who will vote for you. Unless you plan on personally being at the annual meeting, this is the only way to vote.
To vote with our proxy, click the button below to download our proxy. You will then need to sign it and return it to us. Unfortunately, electronic signatures, while technically legal, are likely to be rejected by the company. So, we ask you to do one of the following:
- Print the proxy, sign it, and either email a photo to neighborsfbw@gmail.com, or text it to 650-248-0488
- Use a program like Preview
How to sign a PDF using Preview on a Mac:
1. Open the PDF in Preview
2. Click the Markup button (looks like a pencil tip)
3. Click the Signature icon in the toolbar
4. Create or choose a saved signature:
• Sign on trackpad
• Use your camera to scan a handwritten signature
• Use your iPhone/iPad to draw a signature
5. Click to place the signature on the PDF
6. Drag/resize as needed
7. Save the PDF: File → Save

1. Right-click the PDF → Open with → Microsoft Edge
2. Click the toolbar button labeled Draw
3. Use your mouse, finger, or stylus to sign
4. Click Save (Ctrl+S) to store the signed PDF
This method works on all modern Windows systems. on Windows, or Adobe Acrobat How to sign a PDF using Adobe Acrobat (Windows, Mac, Linux):
1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) or Acrobat Pro
2. On the right panel, click Fill & Sign
3. Click Sign → Add Signature
4. Choose your method:
• Type
• Draw with mouse/finger/stylus
• Upload an image of your signature
5. Click to place the signature on the document
6. Adjust size and position
7. Save the PDF (File → Save)
For cryptographic (“digital certificate”) signatures, use:
Tools → Certificates → Digitally Sign on any platform to draw your signature directly into the PDF, then email the pdf to neighborsfbw@gmail.com
